History

A timeline of non-stop innovation.

1988

Opened our doors. Two people, one desk and a dog.

1989

Launched our first new product. CartStop, a modular floor mounted railing system  now used in thousands of stores around the world.

1990

Introduced CartSafe shopping cart locks and cart corrals. The cart locks have gone, the carts corrals have multiplied.

1991

Moved offices to Salem, MA. Introduced CartGuard – the first non-shrinking retail bumper system.

1994

Introduced the first ballasted covered cart corral called CartPark. Now to be found in stores all over the US and Canada.

1995

Opened McCue International in the UK to serve the European retail market.

1997

CartStop updated and improved with the introduction of CartStop RE2.

1998

Introduced BumperPark. The first open cart corral with recyclable plastic sides, high visibility signs, and no ground frame.

2000

Launched Bean, the first child-safe shopping cart for mothers with small kids. Now voted #1 kid cart by moms everywhere.

2002

First installation services division opened in McCue UK. Leads to the creation of the McCue To You System.

2004

Launch of the New Bean product range. Singles, doubles, multiple basket options.

2005

Launched McCue To You Total Asset Protection System  in the UK. Added bollard, back room and exterior protection packages.

2007

Introduced McCue To You in the USA. Launched GreenGuard, the first recycled and recyclable polycarbonate bumper system.

2010

Updated and launched a full range of products to offer variety and choice in the parking lot, sales area and back room.
